Where Curiosity Meets Healing.
The Heal Lab is a hands-on STEM experience designed to empower youth through the power of creation. By merging science, technology, engineering, and math with emotional growth, we help students build the confidence to solve problems—both in the lab and in life.
Why , STEM for Healing?
Trauma can often make a young person feel like they have lost control. STEM restores that control by allowing them to build, test, and master new skills in a safe environment.
- Creative Agency: Moving from a passive observer to an active creator.
- Logical Resilience: Learning that "failures" in an experiment are simply data points on the road to success.
- Future Vision: Opening doors to high-demand careers that many trauma-affected youth feel are out of reach.

Frequently Asked Questions
We focus on a "humanistic" approach. Rather than feeling like a clinical institution, our Haven is designed to feel like a home. We prioritize radical empathy, dignity, and a trauma-informed environment where youth feel seen and heard rather than just supervised.
The length of stay is entirely dependent on the individual’s growth plan. Some youth stay for short-term stabilization (30–90 days), while others may remain longer to complete educational milestones or achieve specific emotional health goals.
Cherry Blossom Safe Haven is supported by a mix of community funding and grants to ensure that financial status does not prevent a young person from receiving care. Please reach out to our intake coordinator to discuss specific eligibility and support options.
Yes. Education is a core pillar of our program. We provide dedicated study hours, on-site tutoring, and coordination with local schools to ensure residents stay on track with their academic goals while they focus on healing.
Absolutely. We believe family and community connection is vital to long-term success. We facilitate scheduled visits, family therapy sessions, and regular video calls, provided these interactions align with the youth’s safety and growth plan.
